If ?je says that John bit off Mark's penis because he was jealous of Mark's religion and freedom, and I say that John did it because he didn't like sucking Mark's penis for money, is the correct counterargument: John shouldn't have done it regardless.

Or

If we are discussing the reason's for Hitler's rise and why his politics were what they were, it is besides the issue to claim that the situation did not justify holocaust.

P.S I'm in no way comparing the resentment of Arabs to holocaust.
