Admitted. But the question is whether that "liberation" aspect alone would have been enough. If that was the cause, leaving Saddam in power and letting him bash down the Kurds in northern Iraq would have been highly illogical.

No, if it hadn't been for the oil, America would not have bothered to act. Still, that does not make the intervention in Kuwait a bad thing. It was a good thing, in my opinion.
