Fundamentalism is bad on either side. But what it needs to stir that up from just a little annoying narrow-mindedness to a _deadly_ plane-hijacking fundamentalism is a) bad education up to illiterateness, b) a desperate economic situation,

The hijackers were all well educated and came from prosperous families.

The

planners of the outrage too were all well educated and came from prosperous families.

And I suppose Taliban were from prosperous families too? Remember them? The guys you warred against cause they were supporting terrorists... I would say they fit quite well on comrade B's description. As do all those Saudis and Pakistanians who support Al-Quaida. You Americans just can't accept that fighting against Terrorism is simply fighting against poverty, cause it would lower your incomes by a percent or two. You can ask the victims of WTC if those few extra bucks are really worth it.
