So to go on the record and put you and Ojay in your respective boxes once and for all,

Flame of the West

I think they've already left. The only serious recent post from either of them was ?je telling me this morning that he's not talking to me anymore, even though I had just peeked in for one post. You've scared them both away, either because your facts are irrefutable, or because you're a big bully (or both). At any rate, may I inquire (being too lazy to look it up) how a mega-Irish discussion broke out on RABT?

<shrugs>

THere was this thread going on commenting on how being a Republican in Britain was still against the law.

I didn't see it start and by the time I looked in, Floodser, Russ, Paul H, O'Jayvindybum and MSR were all trying for mear misses.

I suppose my entry began with several posts [to O'Jayvindybum] referring to the many faces on Britain, drawing distinctions between London/the Home Counties and the Rest of Britain and between the Mandarins in the corridors of power and London/the Home Counties. The implication being, basically, that if London looks down on the Rest of Britain and the Mandarins look down on London, then the country is ruled by a completely breed to the people that are being governed. O'Jayvindybum didn't understand, or pretended not to understand what I was saying.

I then made a tongue in cheek post [what else?] referring to "Celtic Blood" to which O'Jayvindybum responded, prefacing the post with some incoherent ramblings before raising the quite legitimate issue of the Celtic Curse - various disabilities and sometimes fatal conditions brought on by a genetic propensity to store higher than normal levels of Iron in the body. He ended it by making a cutting comment about why he was glad he didn't have the supposedly non-existent [refer to my "incoherent ramblings" preface reference above] Celtic Blood.

Red Rag to a bull that. I did some research on teh Celtic Curse, founf that once diagnosed it was easily and cheaply regulated/cured by bloodletting [of all things!] and found several links all of which agreed that while the condition probably started in Ireland from genetic mutation to cope with an Iron-poor diet, the first place the gene spread to was Scandinavia, closesly followed by Britain and TROTW [the Rest of the World]. SO much for O'Jayvindybum's assertions about good genetics.

TO cap it all FLoodser [I think it was he] found a URL pointing to an article about the Scandinavian propensity to have heart attacks. After whic O sort of imploded.

Then I looked around at what MSR was bleating about in several threads and I found this kind of duet thing going, where BOTH of them having obviously being gutted by FACTS by FLoodser at some time in the past, they were presenting him as an IRA supporter. He may be a fat little git, with no hair and squinty eyes and no teeth, but an iRA man he most defintely is NOT. Well, not as far as I know. But they haven't even met the guy and they were relying on his previous posts.

Now Floodser has had many a *go* at MSR [during one of these *goes* he may have been christened "the URL King", his current suffix I believe] but AFAIK Floodser has *never* posted a pro-IRA post. Yet here he was, apparently being libelled on aft and by two elders, respected regulars. Fuck that I thought, no one deserves to have to listen to royalists pontificating, and a gentle ear bashing was dished out. I wasn't even going in hard.

And they disappeared

*POOF!*

Just like that. Weird. Magic Rings I suppose...

FWIW
