I would not say 'terrified', merely 'resistant'. Although a true scientist realizes the necessity to validate past results with new or repeated experiments, it is not necessary to waste time and confuse the students (they're probably confused enough already) by teaching non-scientific dogma as scientific. 'creationism' is not scientific; it is religious dogma with no known evidence outside of certain religious teachings.

If you know of any, please enlighten me.
