?jevind L?ngI wish you were correct, but I don't think so. (In case you're surprised to hear that from me, I think we hand them way too much of a blank check.)
The only real guarantees for its existence Israel can ever have is A) good relations with is neighbours and B) the support of the US. The country's present government is apparently indifferent to the first and seems to take the support of America for granted, which may be a mistake. I don't think America will put up forever with getting milked for money and weapons and protection while having everything it says dismissed out of hand. Above all, the American public will probably not stand for it forever, and the American public sooner or laters reacts through the ballot box.
