RavenThere is also a place called Trollheim not too far from there (as distances in Norway go), which, I believe, acquired its name similarly.
I believe Jotunheimen (which means "the Jotun Home" or alternatively "the Jotun Area") was given that name long after the Jotuns were no longer believed in. It was not a Viking name, but one given to those mountains by Weejuns during the Romantic era, or whatever you call that era in Sassenach.
