You don't think that had anything to do with Barak saying one thing and doing exactly opposite?

Russ
Boy that would be an incredible case of pot kettle black if the

Palestinians

made that argument.

Exactly. That argument has been used so many times against Palestineans, I thought it would be time to remind that they're not the only ones doing it.

Answer this: If Barak honestly wanted peace with Palestineans, why did he kept building illegal settlements on their lands, more then any other PM before him?

(And please, nothing about how Israel had a right to do that because they won, or that Palestineans deserved it. Just simply, what were his motives?)

Russ
Ask him.

I think he only subscribes to RABT, but thanks for dodging.

Sharon has an endless list of faults, but at least he doesn't pretend to be anything else then what he is.

You've dodged that main point. Whatever problems the Palestinians may have

had

with Barak, he was infinitely better than Sharon.

Your point is based on false assumption. The Palestineans do not elect PM for Israel. If the Israelians were naiive enough to think that Sharon's way would bring them peace and security it is not Palestineans fault. Sharon is Israel's choice and Israel's responsibility.

Besides, who says Sharon is bad for Palestineans, in the long run I mean. He has already ruined Israel's reputation in the eyes of the world. If he continues his current line of actions, he might even succeed in alienating US, in which case Israel will have no choice but to compromise.
