I'm not sure actually...although I find the whole Indonesian thing very

How so?

I've never quite figured out why 5000 disparate islands constitutes a country called Indonesia, but one half of one of them is a sovereign state. Theres' gonna be tears there in years to come I reckon...

There already has been. The commonly-quoted figure is that one-third of the East Timorese population died during the Indonesian colonisation.

I'd be very interested to find out what the Australian Government's official stance was on Fretilin during those desperate decades, but I think I can guess it - unfortunately for the Timorese.
