The message <aaaaf4$9ai3a$1@ID-121201.news.dfncis.de> from "David Flood" <NOSPAMmaoltuile@utvinternet.ie>contains these

words:

{snip}

It's always the plastic Celts who make the most fuss about it;

David Flood
I have no idea what you're babbling about here.

Mike Scott Rohan
Naturally not. I mean, those who boast of their own racial superiority, as you were doing, are generally those who have least claim

to it.

"Boasting of their own racial superiority"? I have said before on this ng - many times - that I'm from a mixed background of both Gaels and Anglo-Irish.

You've entirely lost the run of yourself, and are simply making this up as you go along.

I may well be a purer Celt than you, I just don't claim it proves anything.

David Flood
*Another* claimed strand to your background? Where do you find the

space to

put it all?

Mike Scott Rohan
Peculiar. You constantly go on about my background as if it proved something, but you don't appear to know anything about it. Or are you simply so ignorant or so racist not to know that Breton French and Scots are at least as Celtic as the Irish?

*You* are the one who likes to stress that you're a *Lowland* Scot, not a Highlander, and a casual look through Google for your views on Braveheart (for example) will find repeated indignant assertions from your own self that they (the Lowlanders) weren't Celts.

Though of course I have some Irish, too -- not that you or your kind make me very glad of that.

Let me take a wild guess, here - is this the long-hinted claim of a link to the late S?an Lemass; 1916 Rising and Irish War of Independence veteran, staunch Fianna F?iler, former Irish Premier and initiator of the "reaching across the border" to O'Neill, the ill-fated Stormont reformist?

If so, you need to tell the ng the full story; that Lemass' family had long before converted from being Hugenots (who had originally arrived in Dublin as refugees from the venal French monarchy). Thus, your claiming Irish blood through relation to *him* by the Hugenot link is entirely disingenuous and misleading.

And I'm not religious, one way or another; but nor do I wear Christianity as a mask for racist terrorism, as you do.

David Flood
I'd reply to this; only it appears to be meaningless gobbledegook.

Mike Scott Rohan
Well, it would, to you. Because it means that you have the nerve to claim to be a Catholic,

I - like many, *many* Irish people, prefer to have only the most tenuous association with the Catholic Church. I have stated this before on this ng, as you should well know. I certainly don't go around loudly 'claimimg' to be a Catholic, as I find a lot to do with the Church to be abhorrent to anyone with a conscience.

and whine about bigotry, while yourself preaching terrorism in the name of religious and racial hatred.

Demonstrate where I have "preached terrorism in the name of religious and racial hatred"; otherwise (as you once said to another poster here) "shut the fuck up".

Do you find that quite clear enough?

Let me make things quite clear to *you*; if I don't receive a full, unambiguous retraction and apology posted by you on these newsgroups, I intend to pursue the matter with your Internet Service Provider as a clear and very serious breach of their Terms of Service for Usenet posting.
