JoyNot if you borrow somebody else's monarch! The Governor General costs us a wee bit more than what the queen costs us but probably not more than your average president.

I went to that link with an open mind... but having read the most biased misinterpreted poorly written bit of rubbish I've ever read I'm sure I'll never go back
Anything with the name "socialistworker" that discusses any aspect of the Monarchy is very likely to be extremely biased. The never forgiven the English people for the fact that no one seemed particularly interested in turning Great Britain into a proper worker's paradise.
Although I must say any of you living under a monarchy spend a helluva lot on their upkeep.
Quite frankly the last presidential election in the US was not exactly the best advertisement for republicism.
