Jette GoldieWhat is this word? I agree with you Pradera, on the unreasonableness of the French numbers. 90=4 x 20 + 10 (quattre vingt-dix). Let us have the walonian words for 80 and 90 Jette, lest we do not believe you :-)

The french do _not_ have a reasonable counting system... take their ninety-six, for example: 4*20+16. I wonder if that makes them better mathematicians :) Other than that, I agree. Though I rather quickly got used to the german way. Sometimes it seems more logical.
The *French* speaking Belgians (Waloons) have a word for ninety.
