Michael O'NeillIts true in Australia in a sense. In that given half a chance people say they would be happy to become their own country (certainly those in Perth and Tasmania seem to think so sometimes). However the reality is different if it ever came to the crunch..
1. You need to travel in the north of England and ask the people there what they think of London. You will see my worst assessment confirmed.
4. The killings in Palestine and Norn Iron and even 9/11 are admittedly chickenfeed compared to these state-sponsored killing fields, but that doesn't excuse Britain from sponsoring an apartheid state in Norn Iron, nor America from sponsoring an apartheid state in Isreal.Surely in NornIron though the 'apartheid' is not a legislated one but more of a cultural one... and as such is perhaps less extreme (or more surmountable) than the ones in Israel or earlier in SA...
