Well, I do understand that several states are looking at reforming or outright tossing their current ballot systems. Unfortunately, the federal government of the US cannot set standards, since individual states are responsible for that. Here in Canada, where I am, and in numerous other countries, national elections are controlled by a centralized agency that puts out a uniform ballot. The 50 states should put aside all the States Rights baggage and put together a national system for presidental elections, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.GraemeIndeed, it may not have been a shining example of a good election, but it was
a victory for law and order, which are every bit as important.
--- AaronCUnfortunately every election before it was equally screwed up. And people knew it too, but nobody cared because the margin of victory had hitherto always been greater than the margin of screwup. And they haven't really done much towards fixing it. I guess being bitten once wasn't enough of a lesson.
