Constitution of the United States of America, Preamble.How is that incompatible with the notion that governments have this tendency to preserve themselves? Presidents run for re-election, and when the term limit nails them on the head, they try to get their partisan successor in.
The aristocracy is there, whether or not it has landed titles.
