PraderaIn south Asia, the most prestigious religious schools are completely free. In general, since the colonial period, the richer sections of society have preferred to send their children to secular, westernised schools (most of which are, or were at one time, run by Christian missionaries), with possible religions instruction during the evenings. The majority of students at these religious schools are unlikely to have been from better than a lower-to-middle middle class background.
They were students of very prestigious religious schools who thought they can change the world.
