But why single out Christian fundamentalists? Why not say that about *all* narrow-minded people?Flame of the WestTroels Forchhammer
I too oppose Christian fundamentalists chopping off people's hands and practicing polygamy. Haven't actually heard of it happening, tho. Until I do, it's rather ridiculous to compare conservative Protestantism with bloodthirsty Islamic terrorism.
I'd say that the hatred, bigotry, general intolerance and narrow mindedness is pretty much the same - and that - in my eyes - puts them in the same category far more than the use of weapons puts terrorists in the same category as the national armies of e.g. the NATO countries.
So I don't really care whether Christian fundamentalists chop of heads or whatever - they exercise a psychological violence that is - IMO - far worse than physical violence (not mentioning actual physical assaults and other terrorist acts such as attacking medical doctors practising abortion etc.)Those are nut cases. Blaming fundamentalists for that is like blaming all Muslims for Sept. 11.
