RavenPlease keep in mind, I didn't say the _people_ of Europe were pro-Arab. The _governments_, unfortunately, usually make a point of mouthing pro-Arab rhetoric, if not actually having pro-Arab policies. I suspect a lot of this comes from the reflex felt by nearly all Western politicians outside the U.S. to try to make themselves look big by `standing up to the Americans'. (Here in Canada, we have not one, but _two_ political parties that are habitually anti-American as a vote-getting stunt.) After all, it's a lot easier & less dangerous to interfere with your friends than to oppose your enemies. I know a lot of people who think the Israelis must be in the wrong for no better reason than that the Americans support them.
We are not particularly pro-Arab. The paper I got in today cites a Danish survey that indicates that while popular support for Israel has declined recently, popular support for the Palestinians has not increased.
