Desde las profundidades llegaron las palabras de Flame of the West:

Well, Egypt and Jordan did, to an extent. But a full recognition of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state must include a repudiation of any Palestinian right of return. This is simple logic, since any significant repatriation would doom Israel's Jewish character in the long run. We'll know the Arabs are serious about peace when they make room for the Palestinians in their own countries and let them out of the refugee prison camps.

Why, reading this paragraph, the words "ethnic cleansing" come to my mind?

No, they've already left. Of their own accord. The question is whether generations later their offspring have a right to return.

As far as I can tell, there's little difference (apart from scale) between the post-WW2 punishment of the Germans and the punishment of the Palestinians for starting war after war. The Palestians in particular and Arabs in general ignored and abrogated UN resolutions on the matter for decades. Now, once they've finally gotten it that they cannot get what they want through conventional force do they adopt these very same UN resolutions that they previously crapped all over as the sina qua non for political settlement.
