Moreover, before 9/11 American public opinion was becoming notiecably impatient with the Israelis. The Palestinians are *so* good at shooting themselves in the foot.
I know I was unhappy that a maniac like Sharon was PM. But now he seems moderate compared to Netanyahu (sp?). Right now, I'm rather unhappy with Palestinian Moslem a**holes descrating a Christian shrine in Bethelem. They really are the scum of the earth.
b) But being humiliated by Israelis for decades, well, I can understand they are happy when they see at least _one_ building in TV that is destroyed and not standing in their own country. (I said: understand. Not support. To make that clear. Such a difference can be made sometimes, although that does not seem to fit in you good-vs-evil world view.) And don't mention the suicide bombers. Yes, that's evil. But you say they cause Israeli revenge, they say the suicide bombers are revenge for Israeli revenge and so on... What was there first, the hen or the egg?
c) Whether they are in a Christian shrine, a Muslim mosque or an ordinary building doesn't matter for me. What's more important - human suffering or religious buildings?
Never said America should remain passive. Just said it shouldn't kill more civilists in revenge than died on 9/11. And said they should have thought a little bit: why do they hate us that way?
