Israel is a sovereign state. Last time I checked sovereign states buying arms is not illegal.

Palestinians, like post-War Germans have to earn those rights back.

Post-war Germans still retained their basic human rights.

And so do Palestinians, however, they are still combatants.

That's actually a crucial difference in the Germans favor: they were defeated and surrendered. The Palestinians were defeated and continued to fight. So my analogy was incorrect: Palestians are like Germans during the war.
