The antibodies are triggered by carrying a child with the 'wrong' bloodtype or by receiving the 'wrong' bloodtype in a transfusion - after that, the next baby or transfusion gets messed up, with the antibodies making the alien bloodtype begin to coagulate.

Henriette Frans
But receiving the wrong bloodtype in a transfusion is history, surely?

What did the article say about ABO distribution?

I'd tell you if only I could find the thing... it went into some theories about human migration patterns based on it.

Henriette Frans
As it is your interest thing :-), please let me know if you find the article or come across anything relating to the subject. It is obviously also my interest thing..........

Isn't there a book out now, or a popular theory based on recent analysis of Mitochondrial DNA [sp?] which proves we are ALL [Chinese, African, Asian, American, Polynesian] descended from a common female ancestor in Africa several millions of years ago?

There are several findings and implications of this study I understand.

1. The ancestor of the first humans originated in Central Africa.

2. Eve was black.

3. Whites [Chinese, Caucasians, etc] are later mutations in response to colder climates, less available sunlight, etc.

4. Waves of invasions/migrations have come out of Africa in successive millenia [not just one].

Might have some bearing on Blood Type Studies and discussions.
