To you that proves they are evil. To me that proves how their situation is so desperate that they are ready to to grasp on any straw someone seems to be offering, wheter its Saddam, Osama or Bill Clinton.
As for their desperation, it seems they're willing to try anything but the obvious solution: getting rid of Arafat. He is as much to blame for their plight as anyone on earth, because he had the chance to make things better and he refused to do it to maintain his own position. All it would take is one suicide bomber, and they'd be rid of him. (Not that I'm advocating it, you understand; I'm just pointing out that there are definite limits to their desperation.)
