Jette GoldieThe Danish pronunciation of such an intervocalic double t is somewhere between the unvoiced t and the voiced d. And their pronunciation of a final, unstressed -e is somewhere between e, ? and a... so by our spelling rules, your name would be spelled "Dzhett", since the j to us is just a vocalic i or y. :-)
Yeah, I've had Danes address me as something that sounds like "Yetta", but my name is pronounced JET like black or airplane (no jokes please, I got enough of them back in school <g>).
