How do you think it stops Israel from being attacked that they give legitimate reason for it by breaking every international law and treaty there is?

They certainly weren't violating any international laws when the Arab world decided to wipe them out in 1967. Remember, the Palestinians brought much of their fate upon themselves, with a great deal of help from the allies. The sad part, of course, is that the once legendary military might of the Arab world turned out to be terribly ineffective. Egypt only regained the Sinai after making peace. Amazingly enough, Israel gave it back once a secure and credible effort was made.

Arafat, on the other hand, has been completely duplicitious. He has, during the course of his career, become the master of speaking out of both sides of his mouth. What he says to the Arab world and what he says to the Western world are two different things.
