Nope, finest hour - and I think most Americans will agree with that sentiment (maybe it's an American thing). Hundreds of firemen and policemen giving their lives so that others might live - 25,000 people were rescued from the World Trade Center complex before the buildings came down. Incredible bravery and incredible sacrifice. Most definintely our finest hour.

Churchill's "Finest Hour" speech, was not in the flush of victory, but rather in the days after the disasterous Battle of France and Dunkirk evacuation.
