Jay RandomNo, no, you have it the other way around. We, the people in Europe are mostly pro-Arab and we criticize our governments for their passivity. They should be clearly supporting the palestinian authority. I find a shame that the EU accepted the conditions that Sharon put to to last diplomatic mission, forbidding them to visit Arafat. They should have rejected this conditions and not send the mission. I advocate (and many other Europeans do) economic and diplomatic sanctions against Israel. Israel should be treated as South Africa during the times of apartheid,as the Israeli government is not better than the South Africans ones.
Please keep in mind, I didn't say the _people_ of Europe were pro- Arab. The _governments_, unfortunately, usually make a point of mouthing pro-Arab rhetoric, if not actually having pro-Arab policies.
