David FloodA rather boring point of no interest on the Royal Train subject is that it's no longer a part of the Signallers General Instructions, i.e. if it did exist it would no longer get preferential treatment. I'd think the rolling stock would still be around though.

You may be right - there was a HUGE stink a few years ago when the decommisioning of the Royal Train was put forward. It may not have happened yet, or the idea may have been shelved, but I was under the impression that the train had been done away with.
