Sharon appears to have been good looking at one time. Arafat has always been ugly however.

Arafat looks like he was borne with a face that's really an assault course for people with good eyesight. In fact he's the one person who looks better when he wears that scarf thing.
Maybe its a prerequisite for being head of anything in the Middle East. None of the Arab leaaders are particularly good-looking either.
