I thought the latest suggestion from Saudi-Arabia about setting up a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza also included an acknowledgement that Palestinians from what is now Israel (the Israel of 1948) can't return to their original homes. Of course, such a concession is inevitable.
PS - don't expect Likud to take it. Any peace process is wasted with them in power. Probably the next gov't will be Labour, but can things hold out that long?
