I don't regard them as that. All I see is republics around the world essentially creating aristocracies to replace the ones they ousted. They may call them all sorts of names or pretend that they don't exist, but they are there never the less. Revolutions may create oust old aristocracies, but new ones come to fill their place.
People like kings, whatever they may call them. Until something fundemental changes in the human condition, that will remain true.
