RussProbably that's true if it was for Osama only. But understanding what he thinks, and how he became what he is, and why many Muslims make "sick demonic rationalizations" for him, all this could perhaps help in a more difficult task: preventing further Osamas from popping up all over Arabia and Africa. As much as one would like it to be, but he's no Satan or evil Maia descended from The Emptyness.
Nope. All your doing is showing a classic example of moral relativism. OBL is either right or wrong, he's either good or evil. It doesn't matter what he thinks or what sick demonic rationalizations he, and many Muslims, make for his actions.
Of course, there is still an alternative. Bombing each of them and the surrounding area into peaces as soon as he delurks and blows up a skyscraper in America. But if you choose this alternative - sorry if this sounds sarcastic - we in the Western world might well run out of either missiles or skyscrapers before the last Osama is finished.
