By failing to employ the old Neville Chamberlain Gambit? That's not very convincing. Your enemies have to display good faith SOMEWHERE along the line. The way you tell it, they had bad faith then, but that's okay because it's ancient history, and they have bad faith now, but it's okay because they can't do any damage as long as the US supports Israel. I'm a bit underwhelmed.
