Yes. No doubt Arafat is a corrupt *sshole, but if he's blown away, I suggest there would be three or four who claimed to be his successor - one of his own organisation, one of Hamas and some of all these different militant organisations. This could lead to two things: either a bloody civil war or, if one of them succeeds, a more radical government. In both cases, there would be even more bloodshed and misery for the people in Palestine. And more suicide bombings for the people in Israel.Flame of the WestMorgil Blackhope
He is as much to blame for their plight as anyone on earth, because he had the chance to make things better and he refused to do it to maintain his own position. All it would take is one suicide bomber, and they'd be rid of him. (Not that I'm advocating it, you understand; I'm just pointing out that there are definite limits to their desperation.)
