I'm not so sure about that. It's my impression that the only people who use systems like Linux do so for a reason, and they are qualified enough with that system that they won't be futzing around. They may have fewer good apps to work with, but they'll be able to work with what they have.

they use linux because they can't afford anything better or because they hate microsoft and apple.

they like to think that they are better than the rest of the world who uses 'dumbed down' interfaces, never realizing the rest of the world is producing more interesting and more compelling results in less time and with fewer hassles.

then they brag about how cool their scripts are, or all the kernel mods they made. like any of that matters.

nobody looks at a photo and thinks "wow, that must have been done on linux with ufraw and a well written script".

As far as I know, Linux is a choice, not something that comes with a system just because you didn't choose a Mac or Windows OS system.

you can buy a system with linux.
