nospamRacing teams don't hire average drivers either. Today they prefer to have drivers who can provide useful feedback, with the exception of Kimi Raikkonen, who just wants everybody in the pits to just shut up and let him drive.

Absolutely! Like I said, having mechanics understanding is a bonus for a car driver.
The average mechanic wouldn't have a clue about the important aspects of a racing car.
race car drivers don't hire average mechanics and that's not what he said anyway.
