all of the adjustments are done en masse, with the item in question simply removed (or its parameters altered), which means it's never 'done'.

Eric Stevens
If it were never done, how come you think it can be undone?

nospam
it's not undone. it's redone with different parameters.

Eric Stevens
So, you are not reversing it: you are doing it again, but differently.

Sandman
No, by removing the effect, the resulut of that effect is 100% reversed. No one is doing "it" "again". Do you even know yourself what "it" is in reference to in your own sentence?

1. Open Image.NEF 2. Add Saturation effect : Result: Oversaturated image 3. Add Tone Curve effect : Result: Oversaturated and blueish image 4. Remove Saturation effect : Result: Blueish image

Image not reversed. Saturation effect 100% reversed

1. Open Image.NEF 2. Add Saturation effect : Result: Oversaturated image 3. Remove saturation effect

Image 100% reversed

Are you referring to Lightroom? --
