1 & 2 are two separate solutions. thus the word 'or'.
Even solution 1 is a form of getting it to the outside.
no it isn't. the antenna is internal in 1 and external in 2.
I'm glad you have finally worked that in 2 your internal antennae is external.

if the antenna is on the outside, then it is not on the inside.
