Actually all three of you are interested in "winning" regardless of this so called search for truth.
He struts and postures and concocts arguments that make the Little Piggy's straw house look like a fortress in comparison.
He was good for some laughs, though. It was amusing to see him try so hard, and so unsuccessfully, to defend his gaffes.
There's an old Victorian term that describes a person who acts in the way he does: Podsnappery, a term meaning a person with a “wilful determination to ignore the objectionable or inconvenient, at the same time assuming airs of superior virtue and noble resignation.” Dickens frequently used this now almost forgotten term.
