If your irony meter is malfunctioning, maybe I can help you. I think you have it placed too close to your own posts. When you claim that someone else can't read or write English, and describe them as "illiterare", that just plays havoc with an irony meter.

Sandman
I don't have a spell checker, since I post via slrn.

Tony Cooper
Then engage the brain. You should be able to look at a post before sending and spot great glaring errors like this.

Sandman
There were not "great glaring errors", only small spelling errors.

Tony Cooper
The greatness and the glaringness are based on the context. The mistake of writing "since the person hasnt invited" (as you did in the post about your irony meter) was noticed but not called out. But, to misspell "illiterate" when you are calling someone else illiterate is both great and glaring.

Evidently, your defense is that you have nothing to engage.

Engage?

Illiterate can mean "uncultured and poorly eductaed", which is clearly the meaning I used it in. You don't know how words are used or what they mean. You are poorly educated. Your spelling mistakes are not signs of illiteracy, and I don't engage in spelling flames (I think I have called out drunk Dave's enormous amount of spelling mistakes at some point though, but that's because his posts were next to unintelligible due to them).

When you can't read English to save your life, I call you illiterate, and when you can't write a coherent statement that is logical and factual, I call you illiterate. I wouldn't if it happened only once or twice, but it's all the time, like the quotes below.

Sandman
Why don't you engage your brain and spot enormous glaring errors before posting idiotic things like:

Tony Cooper
None of the following are errors.

That's something you will have to convince yourself with since you're illiterate and can't understand why they are errors.

They are merely statements that you disagree with.

Incorrect.

Not everyone would disagree with them. Few would, in most cases.

Keep telling yourself that.

"No, you support a claim by making a sensible claim in the first place."

Tony thinks that one can support a claim by making a "sensible" claim. He clearly showcases his illiteracy and ignorance about the word "support".

"Only Adobe can call a plug-in a "Photoshop Plug-in""

This is a favorite of mine. One of your absolute dumbest claims ever.

"All of the plug-ins I have for PS work in LR"

This was an incorrect statement to begin with, and even when both me and Savageduck had proved this to be true, Tony refused to retract the statement, trying to bend the English language to his will. Hilarious.

"A requirement is what you want to do."

What can I say? Totally illiterate and ignorant about the word "requirement".
