Interesting idea about the hole, but why wouldn't the queen just stay in the SJ's chamber?On second thought, the queen might prefer the bottom deck of the ship because the heat from underground lava keeps the room warm. The warmth might benefit the eggs as in ALIENS. (How would the queen know about the volcano though?)
