I have only one problem with this. The eggs were all on the lower

Deck/hold.

They all appeared laid to be in a fairly orderly fashion, under the fog. There are no eggs in the area of the pilot.

I would expect laid eggs to be more Random. This suggests to me that the eggs down below were intentionally put there as cargo.

And this also references the whole laser/fog part of ship/laid down by the Aliens argument.

Clearly this orderly layout, the very laser-like laser (which represents technology that doesn't fit with anything else of the Alien species), must be good evidence that the eggs were intentionally put into the hold by members of the SJ race, and that therefore they were being transported?

Notice also the height of the hold. And no obvious way of getting down into it (Kane and co resort to their portable winch). Perhaps this was to help isolate this volatile cargo from getting into the crew area. Although this could also just mean the cargo hold is also capable of carrying large cargo, as cargo holds on cargo vessles usually are.
