I didn't.

iPads had been brought up by various people at various times but on this occasion I was responding to your statement "there are no internal switches in iphones or ipads. period."

and as i said before, i forgot about the magnetic sensors on ipads.

as i also said, it doesn't change the original point, in that a switch or button failure (any or all of them) will not cause data loss or be an issue with accessing it. period.
