Reed"The Brady Bunch" and "Bewitched" were two of the earliest shows to show a husband and wife in the same bed at the same time, but I believe that they had to show them actually preparing to go to sleep, ie talking, a kiss goodnight and then to roll away from each other, or people may have made the assumption that the beds were being used for something other than sleep.
