nobody said he should use something other than linux or the gimp. stop twisting things. he can use whatever he wants.

the problem is that he has categorically dismissed everything other than linux and the gimp without ever having used any of it.

Tony Cooper
Why is that a problem? What difference does that make to you or to anyone else?

nospam
because he's not basing his decision on facts,

Tony Cooper
Why should that concern you in the slightest?

nospam
because people should make informed choices.

do you have a problem with that?

Yes. It shouldn't be your concern how other people make their choices. It's sheer arrogance to think that you should that you should be some supreme arbiter of the choices that people make.

Tony Cooper
The "facts" are that whatever he's doing works for him. That should be the end of the discussion.

nospam
typewriters worked for a lot of people.

Yeah, and still do for some people. That's their decision.

Tony Cooper
You won't let it go, though. Because his "facts" conflict with your "facts", you want to bully him into trying something out of his comfort zone. How's that working for you?

nospam
he doesn't have any facts. that's the problem.

wrong. i never said anything about which way was best or that he should do it my way.

Tony Cooper
Then why are you in this discussion? You just want to argue?

nospam
i'm not the one who is arguing.

What *is* this bullshit? Every post I make you come back with an argument, and you say I'm the one that's arguing? We both are.

what i said was that the only way to know which way is best is to evaluate all of the ways, and *then* decide.

Tony Cooper
That's *your* only way.

nospam
nope. i have no problem if someone chooses something other than what i would choose if they do so based on actual facts.

You shouldn't have a problem either way.
