I have not complained yet about any particular lack. It's up to each individual to ascertain whether or not Open Source software will meet his/ her needs.

"Open Source software" has no inherent qualities that would make it meet a users need or not. It only pertains to the availability of the program's source code. And since the vast vast vast vast majority of people on earth have exactly no interest in program source code, this is a totally irrelevant trivia.

A better moniker would be "Non-commercial software", where you by its name know that the developer does not earn money (he could with open source) and that in turns has a direct relation to the quality of the application.
