Conrad DunkersonPerhaps Beren's spirit was tougher than I thought.... tougher than Hurin's?
In the later versions he still came back, but there is no mention of him being one of the Ainur. In the very last version both Turin and Beren (and how many times could that guy return from the dead anyway?) come back for the final battle.
