Hey, YOU are the one who decided the topic you wanted to discuss was me. I simply noted where you were wrong about my views. To summarize my views:

1) Debate can be fun...

Steve Carroll
Honest debate can be fun, but what you do isn't honest.

Slimer
I'd say he's honest enough,

Those that say otherwise are projecting.

he just doesn't believe that anyone can ever be right about anything except for him.

Not true... and I openly admit when I am wrong. Heck, I recently posted to the wrong forum and Desk Rabbit noted my post was inappropriate. At first I disagreed then I saw my mistake - I posted a second response to note my mistake and apologize.

He will engage you in a "debate" until your dying breath or until you tell him he's right.

Sounds like you are mad I was not convinced of something from you - likely the idea that your religion should be seen by others as being inherently better than other religions. Seems you took this personally and thought I was putting your religion down... which I was not.

He's very much like that cousin of mine I don't speak to anymore (though, admittedly, I refuse to talk to most of my cousins nowadays).

2) You speak of an argument of Christians vs. Muslims. To me this is absurd.

Steve Carroll
It's absurd to pretend that there isn't a huge problem with Islam *today*.

Slimer
Exactly.

There is a huge problem with some Muslims - and even in general, in polls, a larger number support extremism and the like than I am comfortable with.

But there is also a large problem with Christians.

Does this mean all Christians? NO! Does this mean all Muslims? NO!

That is my point - and to have a debate as to which is worse... or which is better... is silly in my view. Both have good and bad.

Whether all Muslims explode themselves or not, there is no denying that the Qu'ran calls on them to do so if they have been attacked first. They clearly feel that they have and in many situations.

Not all of "them" feel that way, and the Bible is ALSO filled with horrific things. That is the point I was making. And it is objectively true... you can say I am just trying to be "right", but when I am noting is the evidence backs that. And I have shown you the evidence... the Bible itself!

The American government is obviously wrong to stick their noses where it doesn't belong in the Middle East and they are the source of all problems there, but it doesn't give Muslims the right to kill innocent people in retaliation just because the roll of toilet paper they consider to be holy tells them to.

I can pick nits with the above but overall I agree.

3) You incorrectly assume others think you are wrong to be Christian.

Steve Carroll
You've denigrated Christians for their beliefs numerous times, maybe not personally to Slimer but you've certainly done it.

Slimer
The very fact that he compares Christians to Muslims in terrorism is disgusting.

I do not give any group special entitlements. Christians, Muslims, Jews, atheists... none deserve special entitlements in my view. Christians do horrid things, too. Heck, just the other day Christian terrorists killed some people from Black Lives matter. Does this mean I agree with all things BLM does? No! But Christians should not run around killing them over their views! Christians DID do this.

Of course, that is a silly way to word it. Some people who were Christian did this... does not mean CHRISTIANS did this... that implies they back it as a whole. But it also makes no more sense to say Muslims as a whole do what you attribute to them.

Nothing in the Holy Bible asks Christians to commit violence of any kind save for the chapters added to the book by kings and social leaders who had their own agenda.

Why exclude parts? Do you exclude parts of the Qu'ran? And note that you claim is *objectively* incorrect, and you have been shown that. This is where we disagree: you are making claims which are objectively incorrect, and then saying my agreeing with objectivity correct information makes me somehow wrong.
