AngeloHow it's said in the movie is of no import. Tolkien pronounced it with both o's long.
I'm hoping that someone here can help settle an minor argument. I maintain that Frodo is pronounced Froh-doh (with both o's long), and my friend reckons it should be Frod-oh (with the first o short, and the second long). A trivial point perhaps, but is there a right way to pronounce it, and how do we know that it is right?
How is it said in the movie?
