Good movie.
Pleasurable to see. Entertaining to watch. All the emotional depth of a
movieKleenex. A very good movie but I think we can drop all this 'greatest
everybodyever' stuff.
I hope they do The Hobbit. Give me Gandalf and Bilbo and forget
See, Bill, there's one.else.Yes...Hobbit...yes.
Anyway, I rarely _really_ enjoy movies, at least enough to watch them again and again. But I would be seeing FotR in the theater repeatedly if it were seven hours long.
I am barely into the double digits on my FotR viewing, so maybe I have not seen it enough to get over the "wow" factor yet. Dunno.
I think I felt like it was the "greatest movie ever" the first time I saw it.
I still think it would be my favorite movie ever were it not for the fact that ESB and RotJ have that whole "grew up with them" thing on their side.I liked the film and would like to see what the five-hour cut is like. Although I was ready for the film to be over at 3 hours 20 minutes. Maybe we could see more character development in the longer version. My only problem with the movie is that I was expecting to see something more than an FX movie and it wasn't.
If the rumors of a nearly five-hour cut are true, I think the inevitable expanded DVD will have more character development.
